Charissa is an American sportscaster born on May 5, 1982. ESPN analyst was chosen as co-host of SportsNation for the year 2012 She hosted ABC's Splash together with Joey Lawrence. Thompson, who was raised and born in Seattle Washington, hosted Splash on ABC. Thompson was the eldest child of three and knew from a young age that she wanted to become a journalist. She studied at Inglemoor High School near Kenmore Inglemoor, Washington. Thompson was admitted to California for a community college in order to gain California residency. Later, she transferred to her home at the University of California, Santa Barbara in Santa Barbara, where she earned an B.A. in Law and Society in 2004. While Sports Illustrated wrote she left Washington State (WSU) in order to go to a community college in California before transferring to UC Santa Barbara Thompson has clarified she did not attend WSU. Thompson got an offer from Sports Illustrated to do body painting in their Swimsuit issue before beginning her career in broadcasting. She is the lead singer of New York based Pop Rock group Against the Current, who dropped their EP Infinity in 2014. The band was initially recognized due to their covers of well-known musicians on YouTube. Their name was really boosted by a collaboration that they did in conjunction with Against the Current and She. They appeared as part of the Good Time cover by Owl City as well as Carly Rae jepsen and She. This collaboration helped to increase their recognition.
